Jammu 8 January (KNO) : AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed today visited Kotbhalwal Jail and Interacted with prisoners and enquired about their well beings, problems and issues. After the visit in a statement issued Er. Rasheed urged Jail authorities to realize that those facing detention on political grounds need to be given respect and dignity inside the jail and should never be treated at par with other pensioners. He said there is a lot of scope to improve the facilities for the prisoners inside the jail. Urging authorities to provide better health care to detunes, Er. Rasheed expressed concern over health related issues of the detunes. Citing example of Ab Hamid Wani resident of Hatlangoo Sopore Er. Rasheed referred about his deteriorating health condition and demanded his immediate release. Er. Rasheed has also condemned Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti for adding salt to the injuries of pallet victims by taking photographs with them while distributing appointment orders and then sharing those photographs in the media. Er. Rasheed said “Mehbooba Mufti should feel ashamed in taking photographs of the ill fated pelt victims who felt to the terrorism of her brutal forces. Giving them jobs itself proves that Govt. has used disproportionate force which has resulted in blinding the youth. Rather apologizing these ill fated victims Mehbooba Mufti is trying to portray herself as sympathizer of these victims without realizing that she is responsible for blinding them. She needs to realize that there is no compensation to the loss of eye sight of these Youth and for them giving any job matters nothing as they have been blinded forever”. Er. Rasheed asked Mehbooba Mufti to stop playing with the sufferings of pallet victims and show some respect towards human lives and moral values.(KNO)
